GENERAL

How much does it cost for a site survey and quotation?

Invision Security offer a completely free, no obligation quote. We’ll provide a full site survey and will aim to send you a proposal within 24 hours. To request a quotation, submit a form on our contact page or speak to a member of the team on 0208 432 6605.

Will I own or lease the system?

Once the installation is complete and your invoice has been paid, you will own all of the equipment provided by Invision Security. 

How long does a home installation take?

The average CCTV or alarm system install on a residential property usually takes between five to seven hours. We only book one install per a day to allow our engineers plenty of time to get the job right, first time.

Do you install security systems in commercial sites?

Invision Security cover all types of sites, including residential, commercial and industrial. Speak to a member of the team today to see how we can protect your property. 

How long is the warranty for equipment?

All of Invision Security’s CCTV equipment come with a standard three-year warranty, which for a small fee can be extended to five-years. Similarly, our alarm systems come with a two-year warranty from the date of installation.

Will my security system still work if I have no power?

Invision Security’s alarm systems are equipped with a backup battery, which will power the equipment when there’s no mains power. Our CCTV systems rely on mains power, but for an extra cost they can be fitted with a UPS power supply, which will run the system for a set amount of time – ideal if your property is prone to power outages. 

ALARMS

How will I know if my alarm system has been triggered?

There are various ways that you can be notified when your alarm has been triggered. For ease of use on the move, Invision Security’s alarm system app will warn you when your alarm has been activated. The app is completely free to download and use, and is available on Android and Apple devices. Find it on your phone’s app store.

Alternatively, we can also offer communication through our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). When your alarm has been triggered, a member of the team will call you on your registered phone number. This service is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Can I be notified when my alarm is set and unset by my children or cleaner?

The corresponding app that comes with all of Invision Security’s alarm systems allows you to monitor who has set or unset your alarm, as well as at what time. This is fast becoming a popular feature with home and business owners alike. 

Will my pets set of my alarm?

If your pets stay at home whilst you’re out of the house, we can provide pet friendly detectors with your alarm system, which will work even when your furry friends are roaming around. 

How often does my alarm need servicing?

To ensure that your alarm system is always performing at its optimum, we recommend it’s serviced at least once a year. Invision Security offer a comprehensive service and maintenance package for all of our equipment to provide peace of mind that your property is always fully protected.

CCTV

Where will my CCTV footage be recorded?

Invision Security’s CCTV systems record footage to a Network Video Recorder (NVR), which is usually kept on site with the system. If you’d like an extra layer of protection, we can also offer a cloud-based back-up for a small fee. 

Will my CCTV camera record clearly at night?

Invision Security’s CCTV systems use the latest technology to provide clear, full colour images during the day and at night; ensuring that your property is secure at all times. 

Will I be charged to view CCTV footage on my phone?

Invision Security’s mobile app is completely free to download and use. Available on Android and Apple devices, the app allows you to view your live and recorded footage on the go, at no extra cost. 

How much is the monthly fee to control the alarm system from my phone?

As long as you have a broadband connection to the alarm panel, then there isn’t a fee for controlling your system from your phone. If a broadband connection isn’t possible, the alarm panel can be connected to the internet via a GSM SIM card, which costs only £5 a month. Speak to member of the team today to find out more.
