For added reassurance, we can install a Dualcom unit that enables police response when your alarm is activated. This provides a higher level of protection compared to standard self-monitoring systems.
With basic monitoring, you’ll receive an app notification if your alarm is triggered, allowing you to respond yourself. However, if your broadband connection fails or is deliberately cut, you may not receive these alerts. Police monitoring includes a secure secondary communication path via GSM, ensuring signals are still sent. An operator at the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) will then manage the response on your behalf.
If your intruder alarm activates, a trained operator will contact you or one of your nominated key holders. Should a second confirmed activation occur, the operator will request police attendance. Officers will meet you or your key holder at the property, check the premises, and advise on the next steps. Requiring a confirmed second activation helps minimise false alarms while maintaining a fast and effective response.
Upon receiving an alarm signal at our monitoring centre, our team immediately verifies the alert and dispatches the nearest available response officer to your location. During transit, we attempt to contact designated keyholders to inform them of the situation and gather any relevant information. Our officers arrive equipped with the necessary tools and authority to secure your premises, conducting a thorough external and internal inspection where safe to do so.
If evidence of intrusion or damage is discovered, we immediately contact police and preserve the scene whilst ensuring the property is secured. Following the incident, we provide you with a detailed report including attendance times, findings, actions taken, and photographic evidence where appropriate. We also coordinate repairs for any damage, such as broken locks or windows, ensuring your property remains secure after we leave.
